Volume #1 starts with the outbreak of war as the German blitzkreig invades Poland
in September of 1939. Soon afterwards, Germany conquers Belguim, Holland and France.
Great Britain is forced from the European continent and then is attacked during the
Battle of Britain. England eventually gets the help of the U.S. and the Americans
help to supply the British Isles. Germany brings war into the Atlantic using their
submarines to sink ship after ship. The Germans celebrate victory after victory for now.
It will not be long however as the Americans get ready for war and will join the allies
in late 1941.
